This same herd of elk has been out on the valley floor every evening lately. It's hard to get a good picture of them since they come closest to the road as it is starting to get dark. I also took a short video. Sorry for the traffic noise. We were standing right off of the spur that leads into town.

Guess the elk are starting to move for the season?
I caught a shot of some up at the top of Rocky Mtn. Nat'l. Park last July 4th.
