♪ ♫ O Christmas Tree ♪ ♫

Sunday we had our tree permit and we were ready to head into the woods in search of our Christmas tree. We all participated in the search.
Jay found one that he liked and it was in a kind of steep place, so this was as close as I got to it. The tree was kind of crowded in there, so it was a good choice to help manage the National Forest which is why tree cutting is allowed.
Loading our tree and taking it home was interesting since it is a tall one and we don't have a way to tie it to the top of the new Jeep.
I'm happy that we were able to fit the tree into the living room this year instead of my office. We probably could have trimmed and shaped it more, but leaving it kind of wild really makes it feel more like bringing the forest into our home.
Jay's mom bought us a gondola Christmas ornament that fits right in with our colors.
My mom found Jay an appropriate Marshal ornament that fits in with the colors, too!
Now if we could just keep ferrets from destroying the tree and everything under it! Samurai, our cat, doesn't bother the tree anymore since a few years ago he knocked our entire tree over on himself and scared himself.

Looks like fun! We had to buy our tree from a lot this year. My wife and I both grew up going to the hills to cut our own tree, but we live in the "big city" now.:(
