Spring Hike to Bear Creek Falls

We heard that there is still quite a bit of snow on the Judd Wiebe trail, so we thought we'd try hiking up to Bear Creek Falls on Monday. This first shot is of town at the beginning of the trail. There were several places with snow on the trail, but I didn't take my camera out for most of those spots.
It was good to feel the sun!
The snow was still pretty deep once we reached the big rock, so we didn't go any further this time.
The falls were melting fast in the sun. We heard the ice breaking a few times.
One more shot of Bear Creek Falls "warmified."

Really beautiful photos & hike, Lisa. Very impressive, and love the frozen falls ready to break forth gushing water. It's really cool to hear crackling ice too :-)
