The bad weather followed us on over to Owl Creek Pass, but I had the feeling if we didn't go that day we would miss our chance to see the leaves changing. The cows were out enjoying the colors, too!
Cloudy Silver Jack Reservoir with Courthouse Mountain and Chimney Rock in the distance.
Chimney Rock and the location of the big shootout in the original "True Grit."
There was a double rainbow as we headed back to the highway. We also got to hear a bull elk bugling nearby a couple of minutes before several wild turkeys ran across the road in front of us. It may have not been a great day for photos, but definitely not a total loss!
