Hiking a Favorite Trail

Savanna and I hiked up to Hope Lake last Tuesday.  I waited specifically for this week because I knew it would be time for the wildflowers to be at their peak.  The weather was warm and sunny, and the perfect time to hike up into the alpine tundra.

There was a patch of snow just below Vermillion Peak where some kids were making summer snow angels.

Hope Lake looks better than it has in recent years.  It was good to see there are still patches of snow up there.

Beautiful views all around!

What a vivd color of blue in that lake water! Savanna is growing into a lovely young woman. How time flies! The wildflowers are gorgeous here, too - we both live in paradise!
